HOLIDAY CAMPS

I am very excited to offer a variety of Holiday Art Camp classes. Classes are held at my home, which has a small indoor studio space, as well as a lovely outdoor garden, used when the weather is lovely. Classes sizes are kept small, capping the children’s classes at five.

All materials are provided. Please make sure student’s wear clothing that can get a bit messy. I can not guarantee that children will go home paint free. Also, classes run for an extended period of time so please send your child with a lunch, snacks and a water bottle.

Payment can be settled on the first day of class.

I will be taking pictures throughout each class to be used on the website and social media. Please let me know if this is a problem.

Drawing to Painting - 7 - 13 year olds



Sunday August 2 - Wednesday August 5 | 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

During this week long camp, young artists will develop drawing and painting skills, such as line variation, value and composition. We will be looking at the styles of a variety of master and working artists for inspiration. The drawings students create will be realistic, abstract and graphic, while the paintings created will explore a variety of painting techniques in order to create a variety of effects.

Summer Afternoon Art Classes- 4-6 year olds



Wednesday August 5 - Thursday August 6 | 3:00 - 5:00 pm

Young artist during this class will learn about the fundamentals of art by using a variety of artistic mediums and techniques, including drawing, painting, mix media, collage and paper mache.

2 days – 30 bd

Printmaking and Bookmaking - 7 - 13 year olds



Sunday August 9 - Wednesday August 12 | 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

During this week long camp, young artist will learn drawing and printmaking techniques that include block printing, stenciling, monotypes and collage. Students will be given time to experiment with each process in order to pick and chose the techniques they enjoy. The last class, students will be creating an art book out of the prints they created over the week.

Summer Afternoon Art Classes - 4 - 6 year olds



Wednesday August 12 - Thursday August 13 | 3:00 - 5:00 pm

Young artist during this class will learn about the fundamentals of art by using a variety of artistic mediums and techniques, including drawing, painting, mix media, collage and paper mache.

Wild Things - 7 - 13 year olds


Sunday August 16 - Wednesdays August 20 | 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Animals, animals and more animals! Inspired by animals from around the world, students will create their own Wild Things, using paint, paper mache, mix media and drawing materials. Students will be armchair travelers through zoos and natural environments where animals live, for their inspiration and ideas.

Fabric and Mix Media Art - 7 -13 year olds


Sunday August 23 - Wednesday August 26 | 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

During this week long camp, young artists will be using paint, fabric, paper, wire, paper mache and recycled materials to create their artworks. Students will look to master and working artist that use similar materials in their own work, creating 3D artworks in their style.
