    Hi mums,
Need some advice please... I have the option of changing my Indian nationality soon to another.

    1. Do I have to inform my employer beforehand as the company will have to later change certain details on my contract.

    2. I will have to travel to collect my new passport. On arrival into Bahrain will the authorities accept the residency on my cancelled Indian passport.

    Thanks in advance.

Well , it is necessary that you do inform your employer !

As am sure your benefits will increase once you do change your nationality !

And your sponsor would be ready to let you come back on your new passport and help in "transfer of work permit to new passport"

It also depends on the nationality you're taking !

    So , what's the nationality you're gonna take ????

Alright , what I suggest is , visit LMRA and tell them your problem !

And I guess you have to surrender your Indian nationality !

So just to be on safe side visit LMRA and ask them what's the procedure if an expat worker is gonna change his nationality !
Am sure they'd assist you on it ! Inform your employer too !

Well if you get a Portuguese passport , you can get visa on arrival for 2 weeks at Bahrain airport !
